Our Board has adopted a nominating committee charter setting forth the responsibilities of the nominating committee consistent with the Nasdaq Listing Rules.

Consistent with our previous study12, the present study demonstrated the protective effect of QSYQ on pressure overload-induced CH in rats, as shown by improved heart function and macro and micromorphology. Similar to QSYQ, the active ingredients of QSYQ ASIV, DLA and R1 and their combinations also exerted an antihypertrophic effect but with a less potency. These results proved the necessity of including all the ingredients in QSYQ, and provided further evidence supporting QSYQ as a potential option for protection of CH.

To date, we have funded our operations primarily through proceeds from private placements and public offerings. During the year ended December 31, 2018, we raised $70.3 million in net proceeds in an underwritten public offering that was completed in June 2018, $5.9 million in net proceeds in a registered direct offering during April 2018 and $2.9 from our existing ATM Offering. Under our existing ATM Offering, as of December 31, 2018, we may sell, from time to time, up to approximately $32.0 million of additional ordinary shares.

Renal fibrosis is the final outcome for almost all patients with CKD, for which there are no effective and affordable therapeutic options in the clinical setting, thus creating a heavy socioeconomic burden. Based on the data in this study, we hypothesize that P311 regulates renal fibrogenesis because (1) P311 levels were significantly increased and P311 seem to be co-localized with TGF-β1- and α-SMA-positive regions in renal fibrosis; (2) interstitial collagen deposition, vimentin and α-SMA expression and macrophage infiltration decreased in P311-deficient mice in a mouse model of UUO-induced fibrosis; and (3) P311 deficiency down-regulated tubular TGF-β1 expression, TGF-β1 receptor expression and TGF-β1/Smad signaling activation. This study demonstrate that P311 expression modulates renal fibrogenesis.

NAD+/NADH ratio upregulates fission and hence mitophagy, so this is affected by the CR pathway, although there is likely additional benefit to upregulating it directly. But I believe it also upregulates DNA repair, which is something different.

What began as a single case has snowballed into a major risk-assessment puzzle. The European Medicines Agency (EMA) is considering not only valsartan and losartan, but candesartan, irbesartan, and olmesartan in its efforts to find root cause (7).
